Cuban Cohiba Siglo II
Linea 1492 - Siglo IIThe
Cohiba Línea 1492 range was first announced at a reception at the Captain General's Palace in Havana on 4th November 1992, which took place during a Festival held to celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the discovery of the New World by Christopher Columbus.
The
Linea 1492, originally consisting of five sizes - Siglo I, II, III, IV and V before the VI was introduced in 2002, were expressly introduced to mark Columbus's 500th Anniversary and each Siglo (which means 'Century' in Spanish) commemorates one the five subsequent centuries.
The
Linea 1492 is classified as medium flavoured and remains the lightest flavoured line of
Cohibas.
One of the best of its format. This cigar is creamy yet spicy and always has great construction.
Though this Petit Corona format resembles those of its kind it has it's own character. With greater lightness, freshness and richness of flavours this will definitely tempt the nature of those who find Cohibas too strong.
92 / 100
"An undercurrent of ground pepper adds some piquancy to this petit corona, which draws well but has a slightly uneven burn. Notes of leather and orange peel gain intensity as the cigar progresses..."
