When in December 2016, Dunhill Tobacco of London made the strategic decision to withdraw from the handmade cigar and pipe tobacco market in 2017, Tor Imports Ltd made a successful approach to purchase the bestselling Charatan brand from them rather than leave the brand to die off.

Tor has worked closely with their Pipe Tobacco manufacturing partner to test replica blends with pipe clubs around Europe and the UK with a view to launching a  Charatan Pipe Tobacco range that could replace a now redundant International brand.
